Veterans Memorial Park Update

Summary:

Veterans Memorial Park Update

Dear Otisville Residents and Visitors to the Veterans Memorial Park,

Although Village policy for the past several years has been to close the Veterans Park during the winter, we want you to know that we hear you. We are glad to know that we have so many residents and visitors to our park who love our park and want to take advantage of it year-round.

At this time, we are amending our policy regarding the Seasonal operation of the Veterans Memorial Park.

Our park will remain open year-round, Weather Permitting.

The safety of our residents and visitors to our park is of the utmost importance to us, therefor the park may be closed for periods of time when snow, ice, or any other conditions are present which the DPW Superintendent, or Parks Commissioner deem unsafe.

Please take note:  In order to preserve the integrity of the packed stone material on our walking trail, the trail will not be plowed.  Anyone who chooses to walk on the trail if snow and ice are present will be doing so at their own risk.

We will do our best to update the homepage of our website on days when the Park is unavailable.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Mayor Brian Wona and The Village of Otisville Board of Trustees
