MAYOR’S COMMENTS:
- Please send a Thank you letter to the Town and the County for
helping with the street sweeping

received a copy

the problem.
- The Mayor attended the Arbor Day Ceremony on April 25th
- Mayor and Rafaele met with Deputy Superintendent of the Otisville
Correctional Facility at the water facility
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:
- Mike Coppola mentioned that when the hydrants are flushed in the
Village air sucks out of his house. Mike noticed at the time this was
happening that there were two hydrants open on Highland Avenue. Mike
discussed this at the last meeting, but Frank was on vacation at that
time. Frank said he will make sure the guys do not open 2 hydrants at once
in the future.
- Alberta Clouse spoke regarding a water bill for 10 Borden Street from
June 2013. The water bill during that 4 month period was much higher than
normal. At the time that she received the bill, Frank went out to the
property to test the meter. The last two bills have gone back down to the
minimum. The tenant who lived in the house moved out at the end of June
2013. The Mayor advised Mrs. Clouse that the Village Clerk and Frank would
look into the bill and get back in touch with her.
OLD BUSINESS:
A. Surplus Fire Vehicles: We are still waiting
for the title for the Mini-pumper. The truck will go on Auctions International
as soon as the title comes in. The Power Wagon will be listing in the next day
or so.
B.CDA Grant Radio Read Meter Project Phase 2 – There
are about 10 meters left including the vacant house. The grant expires on May
31, 2014. The Mayor feels we have exhausted every possibility, so we now need
to notify the last few home owners that we will be turning water off if we do
not gain access. As far as the vacant houses, we will add the meter charge onto
the final bill.
