Garbage Pick up - Tuesday and Wednesday - depending upon location - garbage must be curbside no earlier than 4 p.m. the previous afternoon and no later than 5 a.m. on the day of your scheduled pick up.

Recycling Pick up:

 

We have moved to a single stream recycling system as of January 2015. Paper, Glass, and Plastic can all be placed in the same container and will be picked up together.  

 

  • Recycling Pick-up will be every other Friday- recycling must be curbside no earlier than 4 p.m. Thursday and no later than 7 a.m. on Friday. Please the Calendar for specific dates.

There is a recycling drop off for mixed containers, mixed paper and cardboard, at the Village Hall.

Village Residents can drop recycling off during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

 

Before dropping of your recycling, please remember to sign in at the Villaeg Clerk's Office. Please do not leave any other items such as bulk items, construction debris, electronics, etc.) in the recycling yard. 

 

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ELECTRONICS DISPOSAL

 

Effective immediately, all persons are prohibited from placing or disposing of any electronic waste in the trash, at curbside for trash collection, or in the DPW Recycling Yard.  For more information please visit the DEC website at http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/65583.html 

The NYS DEC has provided a list of locations through- out Orange County that accept electronic waste.  Please make sure you contact the location of your choice to ensure that they accept the certain type of electronic that you are looking to dispose of.
